AN IVORY AND 18 CARAT GOLD MOUNTED OVAL SNUFF BOX, 18th Century, the lid inset with an enamel framed medallion "en grisaille" of Diana and her hunting dog, interior lined with tortoiseshell. 8cm wide PLEASE NOTE: THIS ITEM CONTAINS OR IS MADE OF IVORY, and import regulations may vary depending on country.
The Ivory has one crack on the top and there are some on the side however the Tortoiseshell interior dose not seem to be cracked. Gold etching is very crisp with some small scratches. Two of the blue enamel Plaques surrounding the Portrait have losses along with two of the small ovals. The Centre Portrait is in good condition.
